The Inspiration

I have been thinking for quite some time that I feel so disconnected from Arizona. I wanted to somehow be able to put down words of how much everyone means to me down there all the way from Montana. I am a horrible phone call person (I know my mother-in-law can agree with that) and e-mail just doesn't always get the whole story across. And so I thought of a blog. I hope that the fam in Arizona will use this all the time and that we can begin this family tradition together. The title Minnie's Pearl came to me as I was thinking of what to call this site. Minnie was Brandon's grandmother and the center of the Ramsey/Roth family for many many years. And although she is no longer with us her legacy lives in each of us. She was the type of woman that would leave the room and a part of her would stay with everyone. Pearl was her mothers name and so I thought those two together had a nice ring. But also, Minnie was the type of woman that could wear a pair of pearls and do them justice. Deeper than that, her family were her pearls. She treasured her family. They treasured her. The story of how a pearl is made is very beautiful and holds a lot of symbolic nature to who Minnie Ramsey was.
